Reservation and driving

How do I book a car?

You can book the car via the Fetch car sharing app on your smartphone by selecting an available car on the map. This will be held for you for a maximum of 15 minutes to reach the car. You pay from the moment you press the button ‘start use’.

When can I book a car?

You can book 7 days a week 24 hours a day. Even a few minutes before you need the car, you can make a reservation. Use the Fetch car sharing app to make a reservation.

Can I drive abroad?

Yes you can in Belgium, Luxemburg and Germany. But be prepared, there are not so many charging points where you can charge with our charging token in Germany or Luxemburg.

Is there a minimum or maximum rental period?

The minimum rental period is 1 minute. The maximum rental period is 3 days.

Where can I find an overview of all rates?

The current rental rates and additional costs can be found on our website. Click ‘Our pricing’ in the menu.

What is included in the rental rate?

The rental rates are pretty much all-in, this means: – Use of the car – Insurance – EV charging. You have free 150 km free for each ride. More kilometers per ride are charged at € 0.25. In case of damage, there is a non waivable excess / own risk of € 500.00 per damage event.

Registration

How do I become a customer?

You can enroll yourself via the Fetch car sharing app. The app creates a user account. Follow the instructions in the app to make photos of your driver’s license, selfie and for non-NL residents photos of driving license, selfie and passport or ID. Sign the contract with us through IDIN (Dutch bank account required). Finally, select your payment method (credit card or payment link in e-mail) and pay the subscription fee.

What conditions should I meet in order to sign up?

You are 18 years or older and have a valid driving license for at least 1 year. Non NL residents should also be in possession of a valid passport or ID.

Which driving licenses are accepted?

Driving licenses issued in one of the following EU / EEA countries are accepted. Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Czech Republic, United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland), Sweden and Switzerland. For countries outside the European Union, we accept drivers with driving licenses in Roman / Western script. Holders of driving licenses in non-Western script must be in possession of an international driving license. For questions, please contact our customer service at support@fetchcarsharing.nl

Charging

 

How do I charge the car?

In the car you find a green charging tag (drop shaped), attached to a large instruction card. Connect the cable according to the instructions and hold the charging drop against the charging pole according to the instructions on the charging pole. The car will charge and the charging station will turn to a blue light. You are obliged to charge the car if the battery level is below 30%. The next user will thank you for it!

Is there a charging incentive?

Yes, each time you put the car on the charger at the end of your rental period, you get 10 free driving minutes that will be deducted from your next trip. You get a maximum of 1 loading bonus per license plate per day and your ride must have lasted 10 minutes. The driving minutes remain valid for one month.

Tips for charging

1: Make sure the gear shift of the car is in P (Park)
2: The cable only remains unlocked for 20 seconds when you press the button, after that you’ll have to press the unlock button to the left side of the dashboard again.

Can I charge at Fastned

Yes, with the AC cable at Fastned, but although the ZOE charges very quickly at a regular charging station, the speed gain of charging at Fastned is less. See https://support.fastned.nl/hc/nl/articles/205695157-Laden-met-een-Renault-ZOE.
